“Dear Mr. President:

In remembrance of the over one million Tibetans who have died as a direct result of the Chinese occupation of Tibet and in honor of those who continue the nonviolent struggle, I urge you to take a strong stance in the issue of human rights in Tibet. The American people are calling for an end to Tibet’s suffering. Therefore, U.S-China policy should no longer remain in the hands of few powerful transnational corporations who continually ignore human rights, but should rather be in accordance with the will of the people.

The momentum of the Tibetan rights movement is growing exponentially. The majority of U.S citizens support improvements of human rights in Tibet. As one of the millions if concerned citizens, I appeal to you to insist on immediate negotiations between the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama of Tibet.
